Training

2027 Cookie Program TCM Training – Ready to Explore!

Troop Cookie Manager Training is required of all TCMs and will cover what volunteers need to know to manage the Cookie Program and support Girl Scouts and their families.

TCM training options available:

NEW TCM live webinars (for volunteers with 0-2 years of experience in the role.)*
Experienced TCM Training in gsLearn (for volunteers going into their third+ cookie season) will be available in gsLearn by Friday, Dec. 11. Log into gsLearn through your myGS dashboard and look for the 2027 EXP TCM Training in the GSCO course library.
In-person training offered at some service units. Check with you service unit cookie manager (SUCM) to see if training will be offered at a service unit meeting.

*New TCM training will include an overview of the program, important dates, volunteer expectations and responsibilities, support and resources available, action steps to take, what’s new, and Girl Scout rewards. Tips and best practices for inventory management will be shared, along with an introduction to eBudde and Digital Cookie/DC, software programs used to manage the Cookie Program, as well as where to find additional resources to support your experience.

Attending NEW TCM live webinar training also gives you an opportunity to get answers to your questions and to connect with other volunteers! A recorded version of New TCM Training will be available in gsLearn by mid-December.

Live webinar trainings are for NEW TCMs ONLY (two years’ experience in the role or less.) A Zoom link to join will be sent to you the day of the training. The number of years in the TCM role will be confirmed prior to a link to join being emailed out to registrants. Volunteers going into their third or more year being in the role will be directed to Experienced TCM training.

Thursday, Dec. 10, 6-8 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 14, 6-8 p.m.

A recorded version of the New TCM live webinar training will be available in gsLearn by Friday, Dec. 18. New TCMs should contact their service unit cookie manager (SUCM) to pick up Cookie Program materials, plan to attend a cookie rally, coordinate a January troop cookie meeting with Girl Scouts and adults, and read through the Troop Cookie Manager (TCM) guide.

Cookie Captain Resources toggle arrow

The Cookie Captain program provides service-oriented Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors the opportunity to mentor Daisies and Brownies during the Cookie Program and teach them about the Five Essential Skills: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills, and Business Ethics!

Share your expertise and earn service leadership hours too! Cookie Captains can work with service units to help plan cookie rallies and help area key volunteers by assisting with special projects at delivery sites and cookie cupboards. Cookie Captains can share their story too, through GSCO social media, as well as Media Stars, and earn service hours for doing so!

2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program!

Get ready for the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program! GSCO recommends having a family meeting/troop training before the start of the program and after the program ends, as well as communicating with Girl Scouts and their families throughout the program.

Review the Troop Training checklist in the Troop Cookie Manager (TCM) Guide or download the checklist linked below.

Read through the GSCO Cookie Program Family guide and share a printed copy of the Family Guide with parents/caregivers. Service unit cookie managers (SUCMs) will distribute guides, order cards, and other resources to TCMs.

You will also find the GSUSA program level family guides that include detailed information about Girl Scout Cookie Business badges and the entrepreneurship pins. Getting familiar with these resources will help you to know what key information to present and discuss at your family meeting.

Along with sharing information about the cookie program, the family meeting/troop training is the ideal time to discuss troop and individual goals, important dates, and deadlines, and to have parents/caregivers complete a Cookie Program Permission Form.

If extra support is needed for troop training, contact your SUCM.
