Examples of Gold Level Signature Patch Program

RK and Girl Scouts of Colorado partnered to give an opportunity for young girls to discover new passions and ambitions while building confidence to potentially pursue a construction career in what is historically a male-dominated industry.

Through our partnership we hosted Build Like A Girl event to introduce Girl Scouts to construction industry careers. The event featured interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities led by some of RK's female employees. Girls in grades K-12, participated in the event, learning about the various construction trades, including HVAC, pluming, electrical, sheet metal, steel, and pipefitting. In addition, the Girl Scouts learned first-hand how these trades are applied in the real world with RK's commercial construction materials, such as industrial piping.

AT&T and Girl Scouts of Colorado partnered to develop a patch program that exposed more girls to STEM careers.

At AT&T, STEM education is increasingly important to their business -- because STEM drives innovation and innovation drives the economy. In this patch program, Girl Scouts learn about STEM Careers at this modern media company that provides their customers around the world with connectivity, technology, entertainment, news, advertising, and more. After watching the program, Girl Scouts will continue the learning by completing the activities presented in their guide.

Girl Scouts of Colorado is proud to partner with HealthONE and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children to showcase the wide world of healthcare careers.

With an ever-growing need for compassionate, skilled, and diverse healthcare providers and administrators, HealthONE wants to inspire girls to help us achieve their mission: “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.” This patch program teaches Girl Scouts about the varied roles found in hospital care through a journey to health interactive experience.
