Ready for a role with real purpose? As a Girl Scout volunteer, you'll spark curiosity and find your own community, too.

New Daisy (grades K-1) and Brownie (grades 2-3) troops can receive complimentary monthly Girl Scout Experience Boxes - delivered right to the troop leader's door! Each box includes simple scripts, easy instructions, and ready-to-use supplies for fun, stress-free meetings. Start with a welcome box, then receive up to seven themed boxes, depending on when your troop gets going.

Get started now to be ready when Welcome Boxes start shipping in August 2026!

Sign up to lead a Daisy (grades K-1) or Brownie (grades 2-3) troop.
Complete your background check and training with your local Girl Scout council.
Build your troop by signing up more adult volunteers and at least 4 Daisy or Brownie Girl Scouts.
When you're ready, your local Girl Scout council will share instructions to start receiving your boxes.

The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. Annual membership dues are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members. Additional local fees and discounts may apply. Financial aid may be available. Girl Scout memberships must be renewed annually.

The Girl Scout Experience Box (GSEB) provides new Daisy troop leaders in participating councils with a monthly supply box that includes everything they need to have fun and fulfilling troop meetings. This complimentary resource will follow the Daisy First Year Troop Plan and be delivered directly to one troop leader per troop.

The Basics

What is the Girl Scout Experience Box? toggle arrow

The Girl Scout Experience Box is a new program to provide leaders of first-year Girl Scout Daisy (grades K–1 in the 2024/2025 school year) troops with an amazing resource. Starting in August 2024, new Daisy troop leaders in participating councils will receive a monthly supply box filled with step-by-step instructions, ready-to-go supplies, and thoughtful script suggestions. This complimentary resource will follow the Daisy First Year Troop Plan and be delivered directly to troop leaders.

Each box contains a meeting guide with activity outlines and thoughtful script suggestions. Supplies needed to complete each activity, such as kid-friendly scissors, crayons, and paper plates, are also included. You’ll have everything you need to feel confident leading your Girl Scout meeting and build a stock of durable supplies you can use in future meetings!

Are the boxes available in languages other than English? toggle arrow

Yes! We’re thrilled to offer the Girl Scout Experience Box in English and Spanish. You can request Spanish materials on the order form.

My troop isn’t a first-year Daisy troop. Can we still participate? toggle arrow

The Girl Scout Experience Box is built to support the Daisy First Year Troop Plan, so the program isn’t appropriate for other program levels. We encourage you to chat with a team member about all the resources available to volunteers to help you create an awesome troop year.

Are all new Daisy troops required to participate? toggle arrow

No, troops are not required to participate. Connect with us to learn more about the resources available to Girl Scout volunteers and determine if this program is the right fit for you and your troop.

Can I just buy the boxes? toggle arrow

No, the Girl Scout Experience Box is a complimentary resource for new Daisy troop leaders, and boxes are not for sale.

Details for Participating Troops

What are the requirements to participate? toggle arrow

What are the requirements to participate?

This is for new Daisy troops that include Girl Scouts entering kindergarten and/or first grade in the 2024/2025 school year and are participating together for the first time. To receive your first box, each new Daisy troop must:

register at least four new Daisy Girl Scouts and one adult volunteer; and
complete the required order form, available from your council.

Where and when will my boxes be delivered? toggle arrow

Boxes will be delivered to the address provided when you complete the required order form. They will begin shipping in August 2024 to troops who have met the eligibility requirements.

What should I do with my troop while I went for my first box to arrive? toggle arrow

This is a great time to get to know your Girl Scouts and their families! Find time to play together at a local park, check out council-led events and camps, or try one of our Girl Scout activities.

How many Girl Scouts will I receive supplies for? What if I add more Girl Scouts to my troop? toggle arrow

Each box contains enough supplies to serve all Girl Scouts in your troop, and likely some extra supplies you can save for future meetings. Troop registration counts are updated with each shipment, so you’ll have enough supplies as your troop grows. Want to invite more friends to join the fun? Use the “Invite Friends” link on the My Troop(s) tab in myGS!

Will I receive all the boxes? toggle arrow

Every troop will receive the Welcome Box first, followed by the next box in the series. Each box is sent for a limited amount of time. Participating troops will receive up to seven boxes, in addition to their Welcome Box.

Can I skip a box or change the order in which I receive them? toggle arrow

No, we’re not able to change the order in which you receive your boxes. You may, however, choose to use them in a different order, add other programming your Girl Scouts are interested in, or wait to use a box at a different time of year. Have more questions about planning your troop year?
