Girl Scouts of Colorado partners with Colorado's leading organizations to provide one-of-a-kind programs to give Girl Scouts the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our partners engage with our girls in hands-on opportunities to spark interest in their fields and foster our girls' confidence and competence in our four program pillar areas.

Be a Diabetes Detective: Exploring Health, Friendship, and Confidence - All levels toggle arrow

Dive into the world of diabetes education and advocacy with the Children's Diabetes Foundation in this hands-on event, designed to teach youth about the science of diabetes and how they can support friends with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).

Taste Girl Scout cookies and learn how blood sugar levels change in real time using a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM).
Gain insight into the daily experiences of someone living with T1D.
Discover how exercise impacts blood sugar levels.
Connect with individuals living with T1D throughout the event.

Older Girl Scouts will explore the mental health challenges of managing T1D, including diabetes burnout, anxiety, and eating disorders, while learning supportive friendship skills.

Junior Financial Advisor patch program brought to you by Colorado Credit Union

Colorado Credit Union and Girl Scouts of Colorado have partnered to create a bilingual patch program for Girl Scouts in Colorado.

Girl Scout participants gain practical insights on financial basics. At the end of the program, each participant will earn a badge, patch and financial tools to enable them to practice and share their knowledge with friends, extending the program's impact beyond the workshop itself. Girl Scouts will:

Learn budgeting basics: Understand how to manage money wisely and make smart spending choices.
Save with a purpose: Discover the importance of saving money and setting financial goals.
Quality vs. Cost: Explore the concept of value and how to make informed purchasing decisions.

Discover the exciting world of model rocketry, engineering, and space exploration through hands-on STEM challenges inspired by real rocket scientists and aerospace engineers. Girl Scouts in grades 4 – 12 will investigate Newton’s Laws of Motion, explore how rockets fly, build their own model rocket, and complete a launch mission or rocket stability test. By completing these missions, Girl Scouts will earn their Estes Rocket Scientist in Training patch.

Girl Scouts of Colorado is proud to partner with HCA HealthONE and HCA Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children to showcase the wide world of healthcare careers. With an ever-growing need for compassionate, skilled, and diverse healthcare providers and administrators, HCA HealthONE wants to inspire girls to help us achieve their mission: “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.” This patch program teaches Girl Scouts about the varied roles found in hospital care through a ‘journey to health’ interactive experience.

Learning about Rose Community Foundation and community giving equips youth with the understanding that they have the power to make a positive impact on their communities. Early exposure to philanthropy can inspire a lifelong commitment to helping others and addressing societal challenges. Additionally, it cultivates important skills such as collaboration, leadership, and financial literacy which can all be translated into Girl Scout Highest Awards. By learning about community giving, youth are empowered to become proactive, compassionate leaders of tomorrow.

This program is geared towards Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors and can be earned in tandem with a Highest Award project.

American Numismatic Association and Money Museum - B, J, C, S toggle arrow

Earn badges and patches for coin collecting!

Whether you collect state quarters, world coins or coins with a special theme such as animals, birds or plants — turn your hobby into a badge!

The American Numismatic Association has information to help Girl Scout leaders conduct a workshop, and the ANA’s Young Numismatist (YN) programs provide special collecting information to help you earn your badge or patch.

Classes for Young Numismatists that include information needed for Girl Scouts to earn their badge are held at the National Money Show®, the World’s Fair of Money® and at the ANA headquarters in Colorado Springs.

Girl Scouts can earn a free initial one year membership to the ANA by earning their collecting patches. For more information or to order the “Fun with Money” patch, please contact the ANA at education@money.org or call 719-482-9846.

Every single day, humans buy single-use plastic products and then throw them into the garbage. These products often end up in landfills and are not properly cared for, leading to plastic pollution. Single-use plastic waste is one of the largest contributors to pollution in our oceans and habitats. In order for people to stop contributing to this issue, they need to be made aware of the impacts they are having.

If our communities are made aware of how consumerism and the use of single-use plastic products impact our future, then we can make a change for the better.

Diverse. Inclusive. Together. - All levels toggle arrow

Diversity and inclusion have been core values of Girl Scouts since its founding in 1912. What is especially important about the Girl Scouts’ rich history of supporting women’s leadership is our insistence on being a voice for all girls, regardless of their background or neighborhood. In this patch program, participants will have the opportunity to explore developmentally appropriate activities that start the conversation of race and racism by learning to appreciate diversity and to honor and celebrate our differences in our local communities and around the world. They will also deepen their understanding and respect for people who may be different from them and learn how to better relate to others.

Please note, there are different patch activities for each Girl Scout level. Grant funding will provide FREE patches to the first 750 Girl Scouts of Colorado girl members who complete all activity and reporting requirements. Use this online form* to request your patch.

* Please note: Free patches are only for current Colorado Girl Scouts who have fully completed the patch program. The form must be completed once for each individual Girl Scout. Non-Girl Scouts can fill out this online form to let us know they have completed the program, receive their digital patch, and/or order a physical patch.

Food Allergy Awareness Patch Program - All Levels toggle arrow

GSCO has partnered with Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) to offer the Food Allergy Awareness Patch Program. FARE is the world’s leading food allergy advocacy organization and the largest private funder of food allergy research. FARE is improving the quality of life and health of individuals with food allergy through transformative research, education, and food allergy advocacy. The Food Allergy Awareness Patch Program gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to learn about life with food allergy, with an emphasis on raising awareness of the public health issue, which impacts 33 million children and adults in the United States.

The GSCO Commitment to Caring Patch Program reflects the principles of the Girl Scout Law, which encourages Girl Scouts to be friendly, helpful, and caring. Engaging in service projects that support communities is a vital aspect of being a Girl Scout, showcasing their dedication to the well-being of others and making the world a better place.

The Commitment to the Caring Patch Program can be used within a troop or a Service Unit. Each rocker has a theme—use the theme for monthly donations during the school year, or however else you choose!

The GSCO Outdoor Skills Patch program is a progressive four-level patch that encourages girls to master several outdoor skills such as knot tying, fire building, outdoor cooking, navigation, outdoor gear, tools and more. It is designed for girls to work on and earn throughout their entire time as Girl Scouts.

Indoor Climbing Patch - Breaking Beta - B, J, C, S, A toggle arrow

The Breaking Beta patch was created as a Girl Scout Silver Award project, this indoor climbing patch program and requirements that can be completed at the Longmont Climbing Collective. The purpose for this patch is to get Girl Scouts engaged with the sport of indoor climbing. Indoor climbing can help girls excel in other activities that require balance, upper body strength, and lower body strength. It helps girls get physically and mentally stronger as they move from one place to another on the wall.

Lasagna Love is proud to announce its partnership with the Girl Scouts, introducing an exciting patch program tailored to inspire young minds while making a tangible impact in communities. Through this initiative, local Girl Scout troops have the opportunity to earn an exclusive Lasagna Love Patch!

This innovative program isn’t just about earning a patch—it’s about fostering empathy, understanding, and proactive engagement. Girl Scouts will delve into the diverse challenges individuals face today, grasp the importance of extending a helping hand, and explore innovative ways to affect positive change in their neighborhoods. In short, Girl Scouts will engage in meaningful activities that resonate with our core values at Lasagna Love.

This program is crafted with the aim of not only addressing community needs but also instilling lifelong lessons. By participating, troops contribute to addressing local waitlists, facilitating the preparation and delivery of multiple meals while learning invaluable skills and fostering a spirit of altruism.

Cost: The cost is determined by the ingredients purchased. These ingredients can be bought with the troop’s funds. The cost per girl or per troop for a few meals can be reduced through donations or what we call the "pop the lid campaign” ingredient drive. The troop can ask for non-perishable ingredients, such as sauce, pans, and noodles, to be donated. *Girls will need hair nets and gloves.

Leaders: An adult 18 years of age or older needs to sign up at lasagnalove.org/volunteer to be matched with requesters on our portal. Once done, the troop can easily donate meals to food banks and first responders/hospitals, etc.

For safety purposes, there is a training video at the volunteer sign-up.

Reach Out and Read Colorado - All levels toggle arrow

Book Drive with Reach Out and Read Colorado

An important factor in early learning and brain development is reading and bonding with a child. Reach Out and Read Colorado partners with healthcare providers across the state to encourage families with young children to read aloud together, building the groundwork for growth.

Partner healthcare clinics receive books, training, and support from Reach Out and Read Colorado. The providers across the state also have been trained to use books as an exam room diagnostic tool to discuss early literacy with parents and evaluate child development.

Girl Scouts of Colorado and Reach Out and Colorado are challenging Girl Scouts, troops, or service units to host book drives so we can get books into the hands of healthcare providers and then into the hands of families. So, clean out those bookshelves and donate to Reach Out and Read Colorado! The guidelines for a book drive are here. Gently used or new books appropriate for up to age 18 reading are accepted.

Recruitment Skills Series Patch - All levels toggle arrow

The progressive Girl Scout Recruiter Patch Program is for Girl Scouts of all levels that are out in their community sharing with others what Girl Scouts is all about!

This patch includes four components, called rockers, to earn as you build your public speaking skills, host events to influence new members to join, and support other recruiters.

Be an Influencer by honing your public speaking skills and raising awareness.
A Star Recruiter takes actions and spreads the word about local recruitment activities.
Become an Expert Recruiter by hosting an event or helping launch a new troop.
A Captain takes what they have learned to train and support other recruiters!

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver - All levels toggle arrow

RMHC-Denver is a home away from home for families with ill or injured children from around the world who have come to Denver seeking medical treatment for their child. Families are never charged for a room and can stay for as long as treatment takes. Many families stay at the house for several weeks or even months. Can you imagine being away from your home, friends, and belongings for a month or more? RMHC provides comfort, support, and everything a family needs while away from home—from laundry rooms and playrooms to meals and household items—all of which would not be possible without the generous help of volunteers! Help support the families of RMHC and increase awareness of the mission to keep families close.

Spread the magic of Halloween, ensure it's safe for everyone and earn the 2026 Teal Pumpkin Project special patch!

Here’s how Girl Scouts can get involved:

Display a Teal Pumpkin: Paint your own or pick one up from a store! You can also use one of the free downloadable posters from FARE to spread the word.
Offer Non-Food Treats: In addition to candy, consider providing fun non-food treats such as stickers, pencils, bracelets, bouncy balls, or glow sticks. If you choose to offer both candy and non-food items, please use separate serving bowls to keep them organized.
List Your Location: Help trick-or-treaters find you by listing your house on FARE’s online TPP interactive map.
Earn Your Patch: Once you’ve completed the above steps, email healthequity@foodallergy.org to claim your special patch or have your troop leader complete this form to give feedback, share photos, and earn your patches. Please let me know how many patches have been completed so I can mail all the patches at once to your troop or council.

Therapeutic Riding Program - All Levels toggle arrow

Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to learn about therapeutic riding!

This program is designed to help girls learn about the benefits of therapeutic riding, how they can help facilities continue to provide services, and what is required if they want to pursue a career in therapeutic riding. This program is estimated to take a couple of hours to complete, not including the visit to a therapeutic riding facility. There are five steps they will need to complete in order to earn their patch.

Vision Awareness Patch with the Colorado Optometric Association- All Levels toggle arrow

The Colorado Optometric Association is offering a Vision Awareness patch! For those that are interested in this program, you will get connected with a Colorado Optometric Association (COA) member doctor who will help facilitate the activities for the troop.

This patch program is aimed to show the importance of eye health through annual comprehensive eye exams. During these activities, the troop will learn that optometrists are not only able to correct poor vision with glasses and contacts, but they can also help diagnose over 270 different diseases.

This patch is available to all levels of Girl Scouts with no cost to the troop/ Girl Scout or limit of participants. If you are interested in getting connected with a COA Optometrist and getting started in your vision awareness patch, please email coa@visioncare.org.

Sponsored by the Warrior Princess Foundation whose mission is to empower women and girls in Northern Colorado by creating spaces to • Move • Create • Learn • Connect for stronger health, wellness and belonging.

Warrior Princess Foundation believes in the power of prevention, creating opportunities for women and girls to live their best lives with grit and grace. Through Move • Create • Learn • Connect, participants build resilience, manage stress, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen their foundation for lifelong health and wellness.

Theme: How to use the Warrior Princess identity as a life management skill.

For the Warrior Princess FUN PATCH, Girl Scouts will:

LEARN
- A Warrior Demonstrates: Grit, bravery, courage, resilience, strength, leadership, determination, love of nature and adventure.
- A Princess Demonstrates: Grace, compassion, integrity, kindness, wisdom, humility, poise, dignity, loyalty, passion, helpfulness and is nurturing and supportive.
- Resource: Warrior Princess (Book) by Kris Ayers

Lessons for:

Cadettes (Grades 6-8): Theme of self-identity and perseverance.
Seniors (Grades 9-10): Theme of community and helpfulness.
Ambassadors (Grades 11-12): Theme of leadership.
MOVE

For Cadettes (Grades 6-8): Participate in cooperative moment games that demonstrate connection, guided by facilitators.

Seniors (Grades 9-10): Participants share and demonstrate some of their favorite games that involve movement and connection.

Ambassadors (Grades 11-12): Participants will cooperatively design and teach original movement games that involve connection.

CREATE

For Cadettes (Grades 6-8): Participants will be guided through an art project that demonstrates things don’t always go as planned.

Seniors (Grades 9-10): Participants will be guided to make something beautiful from something broken.

Ambassadors (Grades 11-12): Participants will be guided to create something as a service to others.

CONNECT: Participants at all levels will make connections through participating in the guided activities. They will connect with the Warrior Princess Foundation, with each other, and some unidentified participants (guests, additional leaders/facilitators, etc.)

Cost: $5 per Girl Scout/patch and craft supplies included

Capacity: Up to 20 scouts per session

Time Commitment: Two Hours. May be split into two sessions at one hour each.
