What happens when you give a chef a Girl Scout Cookie? Find out at the Give a Chef a Cookie event, where Mesa County’s hottest chefs prepare savory dishes infused with world famous Girl Scout Cookies. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample six exclusive dishes and purchase Girl Scout Cookies to take home. The event is Friday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Barn (910 N 12th St, Grand Junction).
Each featured chef was assigned a Girl Scout Cookie flavor via random drawing by local Girl Scouts and the dishes are as follows:
“We’re so excited to bring back the reimagined Give a Chef a Cookie event,” says regional manager Ashley Douglas. “The event allows us to collaborate with community partners during cookie season in creative, new ways that highlight our partners’ strengths and talents, and the outcome is absolutely delicious!”
Girls Scouts of Colorado works to develop young women of courage, confidence, and character in Western Colorado. Two Girl Scouts were selected from several contestants to present their own sweet creations at the event. Not only will those who attend this event get the chance to taste amazing appetizers made by local chefs and desserts made by local girls, but they will also be supporting local Girl Scouts because all event proceeds directly benefit Girl Scouts of Colorado.
