You get cookies and they get confidence — now that’s a win-win! Every bite of Girl Scout cookies is a bite toward real change in our communities and beyond because when Girl Scouts participate in the Cookie Program they grow their skills, build their confidence, and fund their next adventures.
Girl Scouts are taking orders now through their digital order cards and will be out with cookies in hand beginning Feb. 4.
“Running my own cookie business has taught me so many important life skills such as money management, customer service, and goal-setting,” says Girl Scout Charlotte Holmberg of Highlands Ranch.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program allows Girls Scouts to unbox their futures as they practice entrepreneurial skills that build courage, confidence, and character. As a result of the cookie program, girls gain life skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.
“Everyone loves Girl Scout Cookies—but the program is about so much more than cookies,” said Leanna Clark, CEO of Girl Scouts of Colorado. “When you purchase cookies, you are helping girls power their Girl Scout Leadership Experience and you’re supporting female entrepreneurs.”
When bold, goal-getting Girl Scouts sell a package of cookies, they’re doing much more than what’s seen at face value. Girl Scouts do more than sell delicious treats—they’re entrepreneurial powerhouses creating a more equitable future for themselves and the world. Every box of cookies sold provides invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts such as service projects, troop travel, and summer camp. One hundred percent of Girl Scout Cookie proceeds stays in Colorado.
Starting Feb. 4, you will be able to purchase Girl Scout Cookies in-person from Girl Scouts across Colorado. Visit www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org/cookies or use the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app for free on iOS or Android devices to find booths in your area.
Adventurefuls, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Dos-Si-Dos, and Lemon-Ups are $5/package. S’mores and gluten-free Toffee-tastic are $6/package. The 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program ends Sunday, March 10.
Making the world a better place is central to the Girl Scout mission. During the Girl Scout Cookie Program, Girl Scouts honor non-profit organizations, food banks, military, and uniformed personnel through Girl Scouts’ Hometown Heroes/Gift of Caring program. Through this program, customers can purchase a package of cookies to donate to Girl Scouts’ heroes. Girls learn about the invaluable work of their hero recipients by taking tours, learning about careers in public service, and helping with service projects. All Hometown Heroes/Gift of Caring purchases may be eligible for a tax deduction. The 2024 goal for the Hometown Heroes/Gift of Caring program in Colorado is 200,000 packages.
