Girl Scout Juniors are invited to earn their Horsemanship Badge with Reining Heroes. To earn your badge, you will learn basic horsemanship skills such as catching, haltering, leading, and grooming. You will learn safety procedures, horse body language, and arena manners. Then, you will enjoy riding a horse in a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment. Classes are held either indoor or outdoor, based on the weather. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and physical activity, and wear close-toed footwear. Helmets will be provided.
The instructor, Paula Quillen, has 40 years of experience as a horsewoman, including more than 15 years as a Certified Riding Instructor.

This is not a drop-off event. All girls must be accompanied by their caregiver or attend with their troop. Adult safety ratios must be followed.

Registration includes permissions, waivers, and photo releases. You can expect to hear back within three business days.
