Take on the challenge and “Reach for the Peak” with Girl Scouts as they demonstrate their leadership and outdoors skills at this annual competition. This immersive event empowers older girls to develop critical outdoor and teamwork skills in a unique, girl-led environment.
Taking place Aug. 1-3, 2025, at Sky High Ranch (30924 CO-67, Woodland Park, CO 80863), Reach for the Peak is designed to push participants beyond their comfort zones, fostering self-reliance, cooperation, and confidence. Girl Scouts will manage all aspects of their camp experience, from setting up campsites and cooking meals outdoors to demonstrating proficiency in essential survival skills. The challenge includes competitive elements in camp cooking, fire building, knot tying, first aid, outdoor survival techniques, and nature identification.
"This event is a powerful demonstration of what girls can achieve when given the opportunity to lead and learn in a challenging setting," said Leanna Clark, CEO of Girl Scouts of Colorado. "It's inspiring to see these young women build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and master outdoor skills that prepare them to be resilient and resourceful leaders."
Reach for the Peak started in 1989 and has been going strong for more than 35 years. This beloved tradition brings generations of Girl Scouts together and supports Girl Scouts of Colorado’s mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character.
