Colorado’s Girl Scout DreamLab was first in the nation, subsequent Girl Scout DreamLab’s have opened in New Jersey and Louisiana, and more are in the works around the nation. The Girl Scout DreamLab, 63 N. Quebec St., in the Lowry neighborhood, is where girls unite to imagine what’s possible and discover hands-on ways to bring their dreams to life and make a better world.
At the Girl Scout DreamLab, girls unite to widen their circles and create wonderful moments —an epic bouldering adventure, a podcast idea made real, a hands-on STEM experiment, and all of that alongside friends new and old. More than 5,000 community members and Girl Scouts have enjoyed the space, and more than 100 Denver-area partnerships were activated through programming at Girl Scout DreamLab.
“Over the past year, the Girl Scout DreamLab has been an incredible way to connect with the community and make a lasting impact on the future generation of leaders. We can’t wait for another year of spreading joy and making memories at the Girl Scout DreamLab,” says Leanna Clark, Girl Scouts of Colorado chief executive officer.
Girl Scouts of Colorado invites you to celebrate the DreamLab's First Birthday on Sunday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a great visual of a variety of birthday-themed offerings, including constructing your own mini-piñata, singing, dancing, and bracelet making, creating a birthday S.W.A.P. (a Girl Scout tradition of ‘special whatchamacallits affectionately pinned somewhere’) to keep or give to a friend, and so much more! This free event will be open house style and is open to the entire community.
This is also the kickoff to the organization’s 112th birthday. Girl Scouts was founded on March 12, 1912.
