The year 2026 also marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the USA. What better place to hold our convention than the capital of our nation, a symbolic and literal representation of people who live in every corner of the United States? Similarly, National Council Session is where delegates representing every corner of the Girl Scout Movement come together to discuss, debate, and make Girl Scout history.
Any registered member 14 years of age and up may apply. Transportation and all convention costs will be covered; girls will be chaperoned if they are appointed as a National Council Delegate.
Nominees must be willing to commit to:
Time commitment: approximately three hours per month from September 2025 - June 2026 and then 10 hours per month leading up to the National Council Session
The 2026 Convention will be a remarkable event where we will come together to discuss, debate, and vote on issues crucial to our Girl Scout Movement. Our member participation is not only desired—it's essential. Your ideas and enthusiasm will shape this Convention into an unforgettable experience.
