On August 10, 1976, campers and staff at Flying G Ranch Girl Scout Camp created a time capsule to celebrate The Year of the Woman. On Aug. 9, 50 years later-the capsule will be opened, revealing the treasures and stories preserved inside.
At this open house-style event, fellow former campers and staff of Flying G Ranch gather for a nostalgic and meaningful reunion, hosted by the current camp-Ramah in the Rockies.
A highlight of the day will be the opening and celebration of a time capsule created 50 years ago. This special moment will offer a rare and meaningful glimpse into the camp life of the past-bringing back memories, stories, and traditions that shaped generations of Girl Scouts.
A special lunch reception invites you to reconnect with the place that holds so many memories, while experiencing how it has evolved over the years. Guests will enjoy guided tours of camp, revisiting familiar spaces and seeing how the spirit of Flying G continues today. Together, we'll celebrate the legacy of Flying G with beloved camp songs, reflections, and shared storytelling.
This gathering is a celebration of continuity and community-where the past, present, and future come together, with the Flying G time capsule at its heart.
An agenda email will be sent to guests by Aug. 1, so you can plan your arrival time accordingly.
Daisy Launch (current Pre-K going into K) are invited to attend.
