Get ready to build, mix, test, and get messy at STEM Outside: Messy Science Party!
Girls will rotate through four interactive STEM stations that blend engineering, chemistry, and art: Disaster Shelter Build: Design, build, and test emergency shelters that can withstand wind and rain, just like real engineers responding to natural disasters.
- Shower Steam Chemistry: Mix and mold chemical reactions into solid shower steamers while learning how acids, bases, and reaction rates work together.
- Slime Lab: Engineer custom slime by changing variables and exploring polymers, elasticity, and material design.
- pH Pavement Art: Turn sidewalks into colorful science experiments using natural indicators to reveal acids and bases through large-scale chemical art.
Girl Scout attendees will earn and take home a STEM patch.

Financial Aid is available for members only. Membership will be verified before approval for gsEvents Financial Aid requests.

Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.
- This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
