The Northern Colorado International Festival is an annual celebration of World Thinking Day and Global Girl Scouting. It's a fun event for all Girl Scouts and their families! This beloved event is a favorite for troops and families alike. Come for fun, and a fantastic trip around the world!
Troops who register as "Diplomats" are the stars of the day! Within three business day of registration, they will receive a list of eight countries to choose from to showcase at the festival. Then, they will begin their work to research and learn all they can about their country, its customs, peoples, traditions, foods, geography, and more! The goal is to bring this knowledge to the festival to share with the guests who attend the event. Many booths feature visual displays, food samples and souvenir gifts for purchase ($0.25 to $1 max.). Individual Juliette Girl Scouts can also host a booth.
All Girl Scout troops and Juliettes who do not host a booth can attend as a "Tourist" to travel the world (to each booth) and learn about each one. Family members are welcome to attend as well!
This event raises funds to support the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (W.A.G.G.G.S). Monies collected at the booths are donated to this fund. Our goal this year is to raise $1,500!
All registered Girl Scout members will receive a fun patch for attending.
Come as a Diplomat: Host a booth to represent one of the 153 WAGGGS countries and help others learn about it. If your troop is hosting a booth, it is recommended you begin planning your booth at least 60 days in advance. Diplomats do not need to also register as tourists to walk through the booths and enjoy the event.
Come as a Cultural Performer: Perform a dance, skit, song or other cultural expression representing a country of your choice. You can also host a booth, but it isn't required. Performers do not need to also register as tourists to walk through the booths and enjoy the event.
Come as a Cultural Artist: Create art representing one country of your choice to be displayed at the event. You can also host a booth but it isn't required. Artists do not need to also register as tourists to walk through the booths and enjoy the event.
Come as a Tourist: Attend with your family, friends, or troop. Get your passport at the door and tour the world to learn about and experience the histories, foods, and cultures of the WAGGGS countries represented at the festival. DO NOT REGISTER AS A TOURIST IF YOU ARE REGISTERING AS/COMING AS A DIPLOMAT, ARTIST OR PERFORMER.
Make a Troop Donation: If you cannot attend the festival, consider making a troop donation of $25 or more or an individual donation of $5 or more to benefit the five WAGGGS World Centers. Checks should be made payable to Girl Scouts of Colorado and mailed by May 25, 2026 to:

This is not a drop-off event. All girls must be accompanied by their caregiver or attend with their troop. Adult safety ratios must be followed. Please refer to Safety Activity Checkpoints. Each troop attending should bring their designated CPR/First Aid certified adult and collect Activity Permission slips from each family.
This is a family event. Any family members of a current Girl Scout member may attend.
Troops that register to host a booth will be e-mailed a list of countries to select from. This ensures that troops do not select the same countries and helps Girl Scouts to think beyond the more commonly known countries. Troops that host booths, artists and preformers will also receive a Guidebook with all the details needed to plan for the event.
