Spend a night among the dinosaurs! Girl Scout Juniors are invited to an unforgettable overnight adventure at the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita, where science, creativity, and curiosity come alive after hours.
Schedule Overview:
- 6:30 PM - Welcome, name tags, guidelines, agenda, and expectations
- 6:45 PM - Guided exhibit tour in two groups (emphasizing symmetry in nature, dinosaurs, and plants), with free exploration at the end
- 7:45 PM - Scavenger Hunt
- 8:00 PM - Paleontologist presentation about her career
- 8:15 PM - Hands-on bilateral symmetry craft activity using a trilobite as a reference
- 8:45 PM - Settle into sleeping spaces, pajamas, popcorn bar, and drinks
- 9:00 PM - Movie and lights out
- 8:00 AM - Continental breakfast
- 8:30 AM - Pick-up
Girl Scouts will earn the Junior Shapes in Nature badge and a
Museum Overnighter fun patch as part of this experience.
Seven troop leaders/volunteers are required to attend and participate
as chaperones.

- This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
