At the Colorado Ballet's Day of Dance, Girl Scouts will experience three dance genres throughout the program: Ballet, Creative Movement, and Hip Hop. Dancers will be exposed to the specific techniques as well as improvisation and dance concepts.
Again, this year, the dance rotation includes an Experience Tour that allows Girl Scouts to see and feel real ballet costumes and more! Items such as leotards, pointe shoes, tutus, and tiaras will be displayed. Participants may touch the items for a tactile experience and ask questions. This will be followed by viewing an excerpt of Colorado Ballet's live stream recording of The Wizard of Oz.
An optional idea: Grab The Wizard of Oz from your library or preferred online book seller and read it to/with your Girl Scout!
2026 Day of Dance patches included with registration.
This is a DROP-OFF event.
Participating in this program will help meet some requirements for the following badges:

After completing registration, please complete the Colorado Ballet's waiver. This additional form includes acknowledgment of the Colorado Ballet's terms and conditions. Girl Scouts may not participate if this form is not completed.

This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.

Financial Aid is available for members only. Membership will be verified before approval for gsEvents Financial Aid requests.
