Interested in healthcare, research, or making a difference in the lives of individuals with type 1 diabetes? Join us for an exclusive shadow experience with the Children's Diabetes Foundation. This immersive visit will give Girl Scouts a firsthand look at how science, healthcare, and community advocacy work together to support those living with diabetes.

During this experience, Girl Scouts will:

  • Learn about the mission and impact of the Children's Diabetes Foundation and its role in advancing diabetes research and supporting families
  • Tour the facility and explore how programs, partnerships, and outreach efforts come together to improve lives
  • Observe lab equipment and microscopes while learning how research translates into real-world treatments
  • Engage in a career roundtable

This experience is ideal for Girl Scouts who are curious about STEM, medicine, public health, or careers that combine science and service. Come ready to explore, connect with professionals, and imagine your future in healthcare.

Girl Scouts will earn and receive their STEM Career Exploration Badge and the Diabetes Detective Patch.
