Are you interested in a career in outdoor recreation? Start your journey now! Our career readiness series is designed to help you get a jump start on your career goals in the outdoor recreation industry by providing trainings in your field of interest: Outdoor sports such as archery, climbing sports, ranching, etc. Depending on the focus, participants will receive a nationally accepted certification (such as USA Archery or American Canoe Association), or a GSCO certificate of completion (such as belaying, ranch/equestrian experience, etc). Each event will also feature a networking session where participants can connect in-person with professionals to ask questions and learn more about the industry. These sessions will include resources for applying and and interviewing for field-related positions.

This specific event focuses on high ropes/belaying. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from GSCO in entry-level belaying.

This event is open to 9-12th graders and newly graduated Girl Scouts.

Cost is $30/person and includes a sack lunch.

  • This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
  • Financial Aid is available for members only. Membership will be verified before approval for gsEvents Financial Aid requests.

  • Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.
