Ready to step onto the jobsite and build like a girl? Join Kiewit professionals for an unforgettable hands-on construction adventure where you'll explore powerful equipment, tackle team challenges, and discover exciting STEM careers along the way!
Here is what's waiting for you on the jobsite:
- Equipment Rodeo: Climb into the action and learn how construction professionals safely operate an Xtreme Forklift, Small Forklift, and Scissor Lift.
- The Crane Challenge: Step into essential jobsite roles as a crane operator, spotter, or rigger! Work together to operate an overhead crane, safely transporting heavy materials across a simulated job site while navigating obstacles and communicating effectively.
- Bolt-Up Station: Learn all about torque and pressure-why they matter in construction, how different fasteners support different structures, and what happens when the wrong ones are used. Then, test your own strength using a wrench to measure your torque power on a giant bolt!
- Safety First: Put on your detective hat to spot the safety hazards and learn how real crews keep their jobsites safe every day.
- Precision & Measurement: Master the basics by learning how to use a measuring tape correctly-a fundamental skill for every builder and engineer.
Whether you're returning for another year or joining us for the first time, you'll experience all-new activities designed to challenge your skills and show you what it's like to work in construction and engineering.
All participants will earn the NEW Build Like a Girl powered by Kiewit patch and their STEM Career Exploration badge.

Adults will assist in rotating groups through the facility. We will try to place all adults with their troops but may need to divide to ensure safety ratios in groups are met.
All Girl Scouts will earn the exclusive Build Like a Girl powered by Kiewit Corporation patch and STEM Career Exploration badge.
All attendees (Adults and Youth) are required to wear closed-toe shoes and full-length pants for this event. Those who do not will not be allowed into the Training Center due to safety procedures.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
