Girl Training: Earn a certificate in Red Cross Babysitting Training (valid for 10 years).
This combined course prepares youth who plan to babysit with the skills and knowledge needed to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. Participants will:
- Develop leadership skills
- Learn how to start and manage a babysitting business
- Understand how to keep themselves and others safe and encourage positive behavior in children
- Gain training in basic childcare
Course Details:
Duration: Full-day session (bring a sack lunch, water bottle, snacks, and note-taking supplies)
Each participant must provide a unique email address
Participants receive a digital e-book participant manual, with the option to purchase a physical copy
This course covers four of the five steps needed to earn the Cadette Babysitter Badge
Certification: Successful completion results in Red Cross Babysitter's Training certificate. This certificate is valid for 10 years.

Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.
Financial Aid is for members only.
- This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
Before this event, please take the time to review the Girl Scouts of Colorado's Internet Safety Pledge, and then virtually sign it with your girl. As always, safety is a top priority at Girl Scouts of Colorado, and we want to ensure she is staying safe while online.
