Join us for an exciting and interactive day at the new CSU Spur campus to learn about how animals and people support each other’s health and well-being, and how food is produced, supported, and grown! Girl Scouts will rotate through interactive experiences across the campus to engage with scientists, researchers, and experts in animal sciences and agriculture.
During the event scouts will:
• Learn about veterinary
medicine and observe a live veterinary procedure.
• Participate
in the creation of horse enrichment for the horses of the Temple
Grandin Equine Center and learn how horses support human health.
• Create healthy snacks and learn about nutrition.
• Engage in
an investigation into plant illness and how to diagnose plants.
• Participate in a planting activity in the rooftop greenhouse.
• Explore interactive exhibits and content.
