Through the Cadette Program Aide experience, girls will participate in leadership training and then implement what they have learned with a group of younger Girl Scouts. Under the guidance of an adult guide, the girl is responsible for teaching specific skills determined by the needs of the group and her personal strengths. After completing training, girls choose a Program Aide specialty with an internship where they will pursue their passions and interests through leadership opportunities only available to Program Aides. Such areas are day camps, GSCO events, service unit, Free Being Me and Power Up. Cadette Program Aide mentoring award is an impactful way for girl to take a position of leadership and share her Girl Scout knowledge with others.
