Girl Scout Tree Promise - Discover Diversity
Date: Thu Sep 30, 4:00 PM EST - Thu Sep 30, 5:00 PM EST

Join Danielle Ardrey, Conservation and Youth Education Specialist from the Colorado State Forest Service, in a hands-on virtual series all about trees! This series is especially designed to help you dive into the Girl Scout Tree Promise. The Girl Scout Tree Promise aims to have five million trees planted across the country in five years. More about the Girl Scout Tree Promise can be found here: https://www.girlscouts.org/en/girl-scouts-at-home/activities-for-girls/for-every-girl/tree-promise.html

Join us on a journey to discover all the life that trees help support. Mission: imagining that we are on a journey to Earth from outer space, we will investigate our own backyards for signs of life. Is this planet devoid or plentiful? This session also supports these badges:

  • Brownies - Senses (Look Around)
  • Juniors - Animal Habitats (Investigate an Animal Habitat).

Note: We will be spending time outside during each of these sessions. Girls should gain permission to safely visit a spot with a tree by their home. This event will be hosted on Zoom; the link will be sent the day before or the morning of the event. Girl Scouts can access Zoom on whatever device works best for them. We will take a break away from Zoom to do an activity outside, then come back to share what we did.

All attendees must have a current Girl Scout membership.

There are no refunds for this event.

To participate in the rest of the series, please register for these other two event sessions:
