Attention girls in 6th through 12th grade: If you loved Girl Scouting before, just wait, it gets even better! Be a risk-taker and attend an event with the GSCO Outdoor Adventure Club! The Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) is a staff-led program offering outdoor adventures around the state that expose older Girl Scouts to outdoor activities and skills beyond what they might do with their troop. They also get a chance to make new friends from around the state!
Sky High Ranch Ice Climbing and Winter Adventure
Jan. 10-11
Registration opens Nov. 13 and ends Dec. 11 or when the event is at capacity.
Sky High Ranch in Woodland Park
Challenge yourself this new year with ice climbing! You will arrive at Sky High Ranch on Saturday and jump into program rotations of ice climbing, crafts, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowman building. On Saturday night, you'll sit around the campfire with s'mores and skits. On Sunday, you'll will continue with our program rotations before heading home!

Snow Mountain Ranch Winter Retreat and Dogsledding
March 7-8

Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby
It's a choose your own
adventure weekend at Snow Mountain Ranch! During the day, we'll rotate
through all the fun activities that winter has to offer including
snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow tubing, ice skating, and dog
sledding. In the evening we'll have fun at the rec center and do a few
laps at the roller skating rink! Rotations will continue into Sunday
before we end program!
Cost: $250
OAC Climbing Series
Session 1: April 1
Session 2: April 25
Session 3: May 15-17
Registration opens Feb. 19 and ends March 19 or when the event is at capacity.
This is three-part climbing series, registration includes all three sessions.
Session one: This will be a 3.5 hour session to lay the groundwork for the rest of our climbing sessions. Hosted by City Rock Climbing Gym in Colorado Springs, you will build on rope climbing and belay skills.
Session two: This session will be at Sky High Ranch, building on outdoor rope climbing skills and learning more about lead climbing. During this half-day session you will learn how to climb outside and prepare for the final climbing session.
Session three: The final session will be at Shelf Road for the weekend camping and really digging in on your outdoor climbing skills. You will work on your lead climbing and your instructors will lead you through lead falls! You will arrive Friday, do opening circle, and set up camp. Saturday will be spent climbing and wrap up with a campfire. Sunday, you'll climb a bit more before heading home!

Nebraska Lakehouse Stay
June 12-14

Lake Maloney, Nebraska
The OAC is unlocking a new state for adventures! Girl Scouts will stay at Lakeview Cabin, owned by the Girl Scouts of Nebraska, for a weekend of lake activities. You will be canoeing, paddle boarding, and swimming on Lake Maloney. Transportation will be provided from Denver. Make a splash with the OAC!

Wildflower Camping in Crested Butte
July 24-25
Registration opens May 21 and ends June 25 or when the event is at capacity.
Crested Butte, CO
Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, the columbines, flax, paintbrush, and sage. For this weekend adventure, Girl Scouts will travel to Crested Butte for camping, nature photography, and paddleboarding. This is expected to be the peak of wildflower season in Crested Butte! Girl Scouts will spend Saturday and Sunday rotating between nature hikes with photography lessons and paddleboarding. This is a drop off event. Transportation will not be provided. Join OAC for a colorful weekend!

Meadow Mountain Ranch Horse Program
Aug. 7-9

Meadow Mountain Ranch
Yippie Ki Yay! Stay overnight at Meadow Mountain Ranch for a weekend of ziplining and horseback riding. On Saturday, Girl Scouts will rotate between zooming down the zipline, group games, and trail rides with views of Rocky Mountain National Park via horseback. This will be an awesome weekend, so don't miss out!

Genesse Mountain Park High Ropes - Saturday Session
Oct. 17 or Oct. 18
Registration opens July 23 and ends Aug. 27 or when the event is at capacity.
Genesee Mountain Park
Start up the new OAC season with a day of high ropes at Genesee Mountain Park's high ropes course! Make new friends while navigating the high ropes course. Participants will do some team bonding and cheer each other on as you hang out in the trees for the day.
