Girl Scouts of Colorado has been selected by GSUSA to be the very first council to launch an all-new way to experience Girl Scouts. The very first Girl Scout DreamLab is being built right here in Colorado and is on track to open in early 2023.
The Girl Scout DreamLab is a space where girls can dream big – it’s a place where they can reach beyond the activities they might do at home or at school. It’s the Girl Scout experience housed in an easy-to-access, open-to-the-public space.
This new concept brings Girl Scouts a hands-on STEM center, a video and podcast booth to showcase their talents, a bouldering wall to test their strength and agility, and an outdoor skills area to learn and practice camping competency — all in a centrally located physical location that is open and welcoming to all.
This first center is funded in partnership with GSUSA and will be located in a central, new town center area of the Lowry neighborhood at the corner of Quebec and East Lowry in the Exchange at Boulevard One development.
The national plan is to have these experience centers across the country. And, our plan is to have several more across the state.
At Girl Scouts of Colorado, our vision is to continue down this path of innovation and creating ways to meet girls where they are; lifting up the issues they care about like mental health, equity, and our environment.
Stay tuned for opportunities to provide ideas and feedback, tour the space, and, plans for a grand opening celebration. Come check out the neighborhood and the future experience center space this Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Exchange at Boulevard One open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
