Learning how to become an archer is a step-by-step method: nock the arrow, draw the bow, aim, and finally shoot. That perfect shot (or even hitting the target) can be reached with some patience!

Whether you are new to archery or already have some experience, join fellow Girl Scouts at the Loveland Archery Range! Please bring a hat, sunscreen, bug spray and water. Please also bring tennis shoes, leather shoes or boots, and a raincoat if needed. No sandals or open-toed footwear please.

Big Thompson Bowhunter volunteers will cover all steps of the Cadette Archery Badge.

  • Get to know archery equipment
  • Learn about archery safety
  • Practice archery before you go out on the range
  • Shoot on an archery range
  • Create an archery challenge from Balloons, Milk Jugs or 3-d animal targets
