Arrive early to enjoy the Opening Night Pre Film Reception, featuring refreshments generously provided by SAME Café and drink specials at the bar. We're excited to welcome Girl Scouts of Colorado and some of Colorado's very own cookie queens in attendance. Although cookie season is over, guests will get to indulge in their favorite Girl Scout Cookies during this special evening.
Cookie Queens is a heartfelt, candid comingofage documentary that explores girlhood through the lens of one of America's most iconic traditions: Girl Scout Cookie season. The film follows four Girl Scouts, ages five to twelve, and their families as they navigate the highs and pressures of selling cookies-revealing that behind the smiles and cookie boxes are long hours, ambitious goals, and real expectations.
Director Alysa Nahmias delivers a bold, observational portrait that centers the girls' voices, capturing the joy, stress, humor, and emotional complexity of growing up at the intersection of sisterhood and commercialism. The result is a warm, thoughtful, and illuminating look at what success and ambition can mean at a young age.
Bring your family and friends and join us for an inspiring night of film, conversation, and celebration of girls' stories.
This is a family event. Any family members of a current girl scout member may attend.
