Troop 70007 is hosting an Outdoor Skills Day for 1st grade Daisies, Brownies, Juniors. This is a great chance to prepare for camping and meet numerous requirements for badges! Use some cookie earnings to come as a troop. Parents can also bring their Girl Scouts if your troop can't go.

Sample of Outdoor Skills for Girl Scouts to Improve and Learn:

  • Knife Safety (requires adult attention)
  • Compass Use
  • Outdoor Cooking
  • Fire Building
  • Tent and Camp Site Set-Up
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Planning a Campout (including gear list)
  • Protecting Nature with Leave No Trace

$28/Girl Scout, $4/adult. If there is still space, you can add additional Girl Scouts and they'll be added to your troop. Share with all Girl Scouts since individuals can attend with their parent/guardian.

Brownies earn Eco Friend, Outdoor Adventurer, parts of Cabin Camper, and First Aid. Juniors earn parts of Eco Camper, Camper, and First Aid. Only an Outdoor Skills Fun Patch is included - badges should be purchased separately from the GSCO Shop.

  • Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.

  • Other: Girl Scout can attend with their parent even if their troop is not going.

There is one session on April 11 in Thornton and one session on April 25 in Boulder. Same Cheddar Up registration, so select the date you want to sign up for on Cheddar Up.
