Get ready for a morning of creativity and reflection at Chatfield
Farms and learn how to craft a book cover to create your very own
nature journal. Explore the natural spaces around Chatfield Farms and
use your journal to connect scientific observations with supportive
data and illustrations to interact with nature in new ways. This
program supports the Cadette Book Artist Badge.
The
Gardens aims to provide the opportunity for all families to experience
the wonders of nature through hands-on programming. To learn more

Nature journaling is a
practice that encourages close observation of the natural world.
Taking notes, collecting measurements and making illustrations are all
components of a robust nature journal. This program offers Girl Scout
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors the opportunity to create a
handmade nature journal and learn observational skills to help them
study their environment from a fresh perspective.
$14 per
Girl Scout; One group leader per five Girl Scouts is admitted free of
charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings are an
additional $7 each. Non-participating siblings do not participate in
take home activities. Additional adults and non-participating siblings
are welcome to join the group during the program or explore the
Gardens on their own.
Pre-registration is required.
