Girl Scout Daisies search for patterns, colors, and sounds in the
Gardens as they use math to create art. Daisies learn to use nature as
a measuring tool, explore shadows and create art inspired by nature to
take home. This Exploration Day is designed to support the Daisy
Outdoor Art Maker and the Daisy Math in Nature 2 badges. Denver
Botanic Gardens does not supply badges- they can be purchased after
the event through the GSCO shop.
Depending on the time of
year and weather, activity stations and explorations may take place
indoors or outdoors. Your group should be prepared to spend time both
indoors and outdoors. Depending on the size and interests of your
group, the program will take about 2 hours to complete. Program
registration includes admission to the Gardens, your group is welcome
to stay and explore the Gardens on your own after the program.
$14 per Girl Scout; one group leader is required for every
seven Girl Scouts. Group Leaders are free of charge. Group leaders are
responsible for leading and guiding their group through the activity
stations. Additional adults and non-participating siblings are an
additional $7 each. Non-participating siblings do not participate in
take home activities. Additional Adults and non-participating siblings
