Costs

Training Courses:

  • Babysitter's Training (girls): $25.00
  • CPR/AED/First Aid (girls & adults): $35.00
  • Combined Babysitter + CPR/AED/First Aid (girls): $40.00
  • Wilderness & Remote First Aid (adults and Senior/Ambassador girls only): $75.00

Overnight Stay:

  • $25.00 per night, per girl

Event Overview

Join us for Girl Empower to Respond, a weekend dedicated to developing essential life-saving skills through American Red Cross training courses. Participants will have the opportunity to earn certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED, Babysitting, and Wilderness & Remote First Aid (minimum age of 14) while connecting with fellow Girl Scouts in a supportive and empowering environment.

 Important Notes

  • Wilderness & Remote First Aid requires a current CPR/AED certification as a prerequisite.
    Taking the Friday night First Aid/CPR/AED course will meet this requirement.

 Training Options by Level

 Cadettes

  • Eligible for: American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED and Babysitter's Training

Seniors & Ambassadors

  • Eligible for: American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AEDBabysitter's Training, and Wilderness & Remote First Aid

Adults

  • Eligible for: First Aid/CPR/AED and/or Wilderness & Remote First Aid

Overnight & Meals

Girls can register to stay overnight on Friday and/or Saturday night.
Adult chaperones stay free of charge (All chaperone spots are FULL)

  • Friday: Dinner not provided; snacks and s'mores will be available.
  • Saturday:
    • Breakfast provided for Friday overnight guests
    • Lunch provided for all participants
    • Dinner provided for Saturday overnight guests
  • Sunday:
    • Breakfast provided for Saturday overnight guests
    • Sack lunch provided for all Sunday participants

Event Details 

  • This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
  • Financial Aid is available for members only.
  • Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.

Girls must provide their own unique email address when registering (do not use a school email address).

Before this event, please take the time to review the Girl Scouts of Colorado's Internet Safety Pledge, and then virtually sign it with your girl. As always, safety is a top priority at Girl Scouts of Colorado, and we want to ensure she is staying safe while online.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
