This "Junior Financial Workshop" is an exciting and interactive designed to help Cadettes build a strong foundation in personal finance! Hosted in partnership with Colorado Credit Union, this hands-on session will introduce essential money concepts in a fun and approachable way.

Girl Scouts will Learn:

The 50/30/20 Rule: Discover a simple and effective way to divide money between needs, wants, and savings.

Budgeting Basics: The "Bite of Reality" simulation is a fun, hands-on, app-based simulation designed for students to practice making real-like purchases for things they want and need, like cars, clothes, and entertainment, while figuring out how to stick to a budget.

Smart Spending: Learn how to evaluate quality vs. cost and avoid being misled by price tags.

Purposeful Saving: Set meaningful savings goals and explore strategies to stay on track

Why It Matters: This workshop helps young participants build smart money habits in a supportive and engaging environment. By learning how to manage money early, they'll be ready to make confident choices in the future. And the best part? Girl Scouts will proudly earn their Colorado Credit Union Jr. Financial Counselor patch and their My Dream Budget badge-a double win they can show off to friends and family!

BONUS OPPORTUNITY: Girl Scouts attending this workshop can open a savings account with Colorado Credit Union and receive a $25 savings match! CCU will cover the $5 share to open the account, and when a Girl Scout deposits $25, CCU will match it with another $25. Accounts must include an adult or guardian. The bank is closed on Sundays, so information about this offer and the promo code will be provided to Girl Scouts at the event.
