Celebrate Black History Month at Girl Scout DreamLab with a vibrant drop-in event honoring Black female accomplishments. All are welcome!

Activities include:

  • Create Your Own Freedom Banner: Design banners inspired by the Civil Rights Movement and women like Rosa Parks and Fannie Lou Hamer.
  • Hidden Figures STEM Station: Hands-on math challenges or coding activities inspired by NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson.
  • Storytelling Corner: Listen to excerpts or watch short videos about women like Toni Morrison, Ella Baker, or Shirley Chisholm.
  • Health & Wellness Spotlight: Learn about Henrietta Lacks and her contributions to medical research through a station with health science models and trivia.

Participating Girl Scouts will earn their Black History Month Patch.

  • This is a family event. Any family members of a current girl scout member may attend.
  • Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.
