Join the Colorado Mesa University Psychology Club for an engaging, research-informed event, created in partnership with the Western Colorado Area Health Education Center (WCAHEC). As part of their ongoing commitment to service-learning, CMU psychology students are offering free presentations for youth throughout the region.

This event focuses on anti-vaping education, blending current psychological research with interactive, accessible learning experiences. Their goal is to empower young people with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed, healthy decisions.

Topics Include:

  • The psychological and neurological effects of vaping
  • Risk factors and protective factors for youth
  • Building awareness, informed decision-making, and resilience
  • Open discussion and Q&A in a judgment-free environment

Through this initiative, we aim to support the important work already being done in our community while providing meaningful, supervised service-learning opportunities for CMU students.

Healthy Habits patch will be included in the cost of the event.

  • Financial Aid is available for members only. Membership will be verified before approval for gsEvents Financial Aid requests.

  • Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.

  • This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
