Discover the tiny wonders all around us! Join us for Buggin' Around
with CSU, an educational and eyeopening session led by Melissa
"Mel" Schreiner, state entomologist and insect illustrator
with Colorado State University Extension - TriRiver Area.
In this interactive presentation, Mel will explore why insects often
spark fear-and how a closer look can transform that fear into
fascination. Learn how to "look closer" at the incredible
world of bugs through Mel's expertise in entomology, identification,
and scientific illustration.
Girl Scouts will also have
the rare opportunity to view pinned insect specimens displayed in
museum boxes from the Western Colorado Insect Collection, along with a
selection of entomology books and learning materials.
Buggin' Around patch will be included in the cost of the event.
Brownie Bugs badge will be included in the cost of the event.

- This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
