The primary purpose of this American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid Training course is to provide
youth planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to
safely and responsibly care for children and infants.
This training will help participants develop leadership skills; learn
how to create a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe
and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and
Pediatric first aid/AED and CPR.
Please pack a sack
lunch, and bring your water bottle, snacks and supplies to take notes.
Each participant must have a unique email address. Each participant
will will receive a digital e-book participant manual with the option
of purchasing a physical manual. There is no pre-work.
This course covers four of the five steps needed to earn the Cadette's
Babysitter Badge. Successful completion of this course will result in
a certificate in Red Cross Babysitting Training (valid for 10 years)
and Red Cross Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid (valid for two
years).
