Girl Training: Earn a certificate in Red Cross Babysitting Training (valid for 10 years) and Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid (valid for 2 years).This combined course prepares youth planning to babysit with the skills and knowledge to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. Participants will:
- Develop leadership skills
- Learn how to start and manage a babysitting business
- Understand how to keep themselves and others safe and encourage positive behavior in children
- Gain training in basic childcare and Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED
Course Details:
Duration: Full-day session (bring a sack
lunch, water bottle, snacks, and note-taking supplies)
Each
participant must provide a unique email address
Participants
receive a digital e-book participant manual, with the option to
purchase a physical copy
This course covers 4 of the 5 steps
needed to earn the Cadette Babysitter Badge
Certification:
Successful completion results in:
- Red Cross Babysitter's Training certificate (valid 10 years)
- Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certificate (valid 2 years)
Girls must provide their own unique email address when registering (do not use a school email address).
Before this event, please take the time to review the Girl Scouts of Colorado's Internet Safety Pledge, and then virtually sign it with your girl. As always, safety is a top priority at Girl Scouts of Colorado, and we want to ensure she is staying safe while online.
Event capacity is very limited. Registration will close when capacity is met.

This training is for members only. Financial Aid is available for members only.
- This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
