This Family Fun Day is a vibrant celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month! This open-house style event invites families, students, and community members of all ages to explore the rich cultures, traditions, and creativity found across AANHPI communities.

Activities Include:

  • Lei Po'o Crafting: Create your own tradition flower crown while learning about the significance of lei-making in Native Hawaiian culture.
  • Make-Your-Own Musubi: Try your hand at assembling this beloved local Hawaiian snack.
  • Filipino Parol Making: Design your own colorful star lantern, a cherished symbol of hope and community in Filipino tradition.
  • Asian Chamber of Commerce of Colorado: Learn about local AANHPI-owned businesses and community resources.
  • Asian Student Association from CMU: Meet student leaders, enjoy cultural insights, and engage with campus community members.

Bring your curiosity, creativity, and loved ones for an afternoon of culture, food, art, and community connection.

Attendees will earn and take home an Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month patch.
