Girl Scout Juniors discover the basics of garden design as they learn
how to plan for a successful garden! Each Girl Scout will plant and
decorate a miniature container garden to take home with them. This
program is designed to support the Juniors Gardener Badge. Denver
Botanic Gardens does not supply badges.
Girl Scout
Exploration Days offer girl scout troops the opportunity to explore
plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on activities and
take-home projects. Each Exploration Day offers several activity
stations for girls to explore. Volunteers are provided with materials
and instructions needed to guide Girl Scouts through each activity
station.
Depending on weather, activity stations and
explorations may take place indoors or outdoors. Girl Scouts should be
prepared to spend time both indoors and outdoors. Program registration
includes admission to the Gardens, Girl Scouts are welcome to stay and
explore the Gardens on your own after the program.
$12
per Girl Scout; one group leader is required for every seven Girl
Scouts.
The Gardens aims to provide the opportunity for
all families to experience the wonders of nature through hands-on

Troop Leaders are free of charge. Troop leaders are responsible
for leading and guiding their group through the activity stations.
Additional adults and non-participating siblings are an additional $7
each. Non-participating siblings do not participate in take home
activities. Additional Adults and non-participating siblings are
welcome to follow the group through the activity stations or explore
the Gardens on their own.

This is not a drop-off event. All girls must be accompanied by
their caregiver or attend with their troop. Adult safety ratios must
be followed. Please refer to Volunteer Essentials.
This
is a family event. Any family members of a current girl scout member
may attend.
Event capacity is very limited. Registration
will close when capacity is met.
