All adults are invited to step into the great outdoors for a weekend dedicated to learning, connecting, and growing. Take part in certification trainings to strengthen your outdoor leadership skills. With overnight and day-only options, this event offers the perfect chance to step up, relax, and leave with new knowledge, new friends, and a renewed sense of purpose for all adults and volunteers!

Friday Volunteer Appreciation
Come out Friday evening for a volunteer appreciation event! Join your friends and regional staff members for an evening of fun activties, a musical bonfire with s'mores, and old fashioned camp celebration! Come out for just the evening, or make this a great kickoff to a fun-filled Cert-a-thon weekend.

Let's Go Backpacking weekend track: Learn the backcountry basics! Includes Saturday overnight at a primitive tent site. Volunteers must already have a Let's Go Camping certification before taking this course.

Let's Go Camping: Come for just a Let's Go Camping course on Saturday or Sunday.

Archery Certification: Saturday only. Get certified to take your Girl Scouts to the range!

Paddle Sport Facilitator certification: Sunday only. Become certified to take Girl Scouts paddling in canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards.

About Lazy Acres
Nestled in the San Isabel National Forest near the town of Rye, this green, rustic property is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors! While we can make some accommodations for mobility concerns, automobile use is limited at camp - please come prepared for walking around camp. A detailed packing list and maps will be sent to participants before the event.

Overnight guests must bring their own linens, either a sleeping bag or twin-sized bedroll, and pillows.  Guests will be sleeping in cabins that may not have electricity. All restroom facilities are vault toilets.

This event is open to all interested adults, so invite your friends!

If you have trouble completing registration, please contact inquiry@gscolorado.org or 877-404-5708.

If you cannot attend a Girl Scouts of Colorado event, please cancel to allow another Girl Scout to take your spot! Full refunds will be given up to two weeks before the registration deadline, partial refunds (minus a $5 processing fee) will be given within two weeks of the deadline, and no refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
