Girl Scouts of Colorado and Rose Community Foundation have partnered to create a patch program that teaches Girl Scouts of all ages the importance of values-driven philanthropy. Girl Scouts of Colorado is hosting a Giving in a Box community event to celebrate the launch of the new patch on, Sunday, Nov. 3, 1 – 3 p.m. at Girl Scout DreamLab in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood (63 N Quebec St, Ste 104).
The Giving in a Box patch program, powered by Rose Community Foundation’scurriculum, engages participants in hands-on activities to explore core values, identify community needs, and learn about charitable giving. Through interactive stations, attendees will:
“Introducing young people to philanthropy at an early age can spark a lifelong dedication to helping others and tackling social challenges,” says Girl Scouts of Colorado CEO Leanna Clark. “By learning how to give back to their communities, youth are empowered to grow into compassionate, proactive leaders.”
Open to everyone in the community, this event offers an empowering opportunity for young leaders to take meaningful steps toward making a lasting, positive impact in their communities.
