We invite Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to attend the Older Girl Gala at the Girl Scout DreamLab, where the evening will be an unforgettable experience of elegance and camaraderie! This semi-formal affair promises to be an enchanting blend of sophistication and celebration where you can mingle with fellow Girl Scouts, forge new connections, and revel in the spirit of sisterhood.
Kick off the evening in style with delightful, refreshing beverages while mingling with Girl Scouts from across the region. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Embracing Empowerment: Throughout the gala, we will shine a light on the incredible journeys and meaningful contributions of Girl Scouts who embody the values of courage, confidence, and character. We want to hear about small acts of kindness, bold initiatives and making positive change! We will celebrate the unique ways in which girls are making a difference in their communities and beyond. Cultivate New Friendships: Forge genuine connections as you engage in activities and discussions tailored to bring older Girl Scouts together. Share stories, exchange experiences, and inspire one another as you navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges of adolescence. Recognition of the Four Pillars: As the evening unfolds, we will pay tribute to the four pillars of Girl Scouting: Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, STEM, and Outdoors. From bold leaders to environmental stewards, we'll honor the diverse talents and passions of girls who embody these pillars in their everyday lives. We will recognize Girl Scouts in five categories:
Empowered Lifestyle Award: This honor recognizes young women who
embody the resilience, leadership, and advocacy through essential life
skills. Future Scientist Award: As a tribute to the groundbreaking
achievements of female scientists, we are looking for Girl Scouts who
demonstrate exceptional curiosity and problem-solving skills.
After registering for this event, troops and service units will get
the opportunity to nominate an older girl for each award. This will be
sent out to attendees one month before the event, so register early!
Nominations are due two weeks before the event date.
Whether you're a seasoned Girl Scout or new to the movement, the Older
Girl Gala promises an enchanting evening of connection, inspiration,
and the limitless potential of every girl!
