Girl Scout Day at Craig Hospital: Awareness and Advocacy

Craig Hospital is a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital that exclusively specializes in neurorehabilitation and research for individuals with spinal cord injury and brain injury.

Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can stay for the morning and/or afternoon. Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors will register for the afternoon only.

In the morning session, Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge about the diverse range of professions within the healthcare industry.

During lunch, Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will observe patient therapies, and about disability awareness, and etiquette. Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors are welcome to stay after lunch where they will be joined by Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors for an opportunity to get hands-on with the equipment patients use, how they navigate activities with limited extremity function, how Craig hospital helps people get better and how a Girl Scout can help a person with a disability in need.

CSA Morning Schedule: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

  • Therapy Observation
  • Lunch with Awareness, Disability Etiquette, and Q&A

There are three opportunities to attend this event: October 11, 14, or 18.
