The primary purpose of this two-day American Red Cross Babysitter's Safety and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid Training course is to provide youth planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This training will help participants develop leadership skills; learn how to create a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and Pediatric first aid and CPR/AED.
Please pack a sack lunch, and bring your water bottle, and supplies to take notes.
Each participant must have a unique email address. Each participant will receive a participant workbook and CD-ROM with resources.
There is no pre-work. This course covers 4 of the 5 steps needed to earn the Cadette's Babysitter Badge.
This is a drop-off event. We will provide enough supervision to cover safety ratios. Registrants are required to complete an Authorized Pick Up form.
This is not an overnight.
