Girl Scouts’ Camp Code with FAST Enterprises is a one-week camp designed for Girl Scouts entering the 8th, 9th, and 10th grades to participate in a variety of educational coding games and activities led by experienced female software developers from FAST Enterprises.

Some of the activities at Camp Code include:

1. Pseudocode: Campers work together on a partner drawing activity and afterwards, complete a guided code exercise online.
2. Android Fundamentals
3. Object Oriented Programming
4. Android App Development including layouts, styles, widgets, and java programming. Campers build and customize three different Android Apps throughout the week -- Tic-Tac-Toe App, Calculator App, Coin Flipper App
5. Cryptography

On the last day, family and friends are invited to the camp. Campers are placed into teams and to create a PowerPoint presentation highlighting their experiences at camp. Each team will present to the Camp Code community and each camper will present one of their completed apps.

This camp will also host guest presentations that will spark Girl Scouts’ curiosity about future careers in the STEM fields and the diverse opportunities available to women who code.

As a technology company, FAST recognizes that there is a lack of women in technology fields. They are hosting this camp for Girl Scouts with the hope of introducing girls to the opportunities available to them in these fields.

On each camp day, please drop your daughter off at the between 8:30-9 a.m. and pick up your daughter between 3- 3:30 p.m.
