Program Aide Training
Program Aide training is for girls in sixth-, seventh-, or eighth- grade who have completed the Leadership in Action (LiA) award and are interested in serving as champions for the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This training will guide the girls through activities to understand the three keys of leadership, explore how leadership relates to everyday life, and inspire girls to think about ways to serve as leaders in the world.
For a girl to earn the PA award she must:
- Be registered as a member of the Girl Scouts of USA
- Complete a Leadership in Action (LiA) award
- Take a council approved training-- This training covers this requirement!
Complete a Program Aide internship (PAI) by working with girls in six activity sessions. PAI may require additional training before completing these activities. After completing this training, girls will be Program Aide interns until the completion of their internship and at that point will earn their Cadette Program Aide Award.
Contact Marcia Roe at email@example.com with any questions and to reserve your Girl Scout's spot. We will need to limit the size of this training to 10 girls due to spots available in the Colorado Outdoor Adventure or Girls In Science Day Camps (five for each camp). Additional space is available for the training up to 25 girls but the limit is for the internships that are offered for the Barr Lake Day Camps. Internships are based on a first come first serve basis.
