Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to Meet an Expert in the field of citizen science!

Sarah R. Johnson, MAEd, a Gold Award and lifetime member of Girl Scouts is a freelance science educator of citizen science within the context of watershed studies; climate change, Arctic science, and public lands. She is currently an instructor for Western Colorado University’s Teacher Institute, a lead instructor for the US Naval Sea Cadets Arctic Buoy STEM Program, and coordinates a Colorado climate change professional development network. Sarah has created and facilitated numerous watershed focused education programs in addition to an award winning Youth Water Leadership Program through her business, Wild Rose Education. Sarah serves on the GSCO Global Committee and Western Slope Gold Award Committee. She also serves as a volunteer for the Front Range Pika Project. Sarah has lived on Colorado's Western Slope since 2004.

After a short presentation, Girl Scouts will have an opportunity to ask questions live in the chat box.

When registering you are telling us you will be logging in LIVE! Our guest will prepare based on registration numbers so please make sure you log in on time. The program will be recorded and posted to YouTube, do not register if you plan to watch the recording. We will use Zoom to host this program. All information on how to join online or via phone will be emailed out to registrants the day before the program.

Each individual participant should be registered so we can track participation. Please do not share the information on how to join with others who have not registered.
