The Two Top Threats to Birds: Windows and Cats

Wed Mar 31, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Approximately three billion birds die each year from human-related threats. However, which threats are the largest? And how can everyday people, not just organizations and businesses, help? Join us to learn the statistics and the why behind windows and cats, the two largest threats to birds outside of habitat loss. Come learn how cats and birds can coexist in a mutually healthy relationship, plus inexpensive ways to deter bird-window collisions at your home. Note: This presentation will include an electronic pre- and post-survey.

This presentation is part of a Girl Scout Gold Award on making the world more bird-friendly. This event is being hosted by the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies with three Ambassador Girl Scouts as guest speakers. Come join us to learn about helping birds!
