Get ready for an epic rock climbing adventure! Join us for a day of outdoor rock climbing to complete some of the requirements for the Climbing Adventure badge. Girls will learn about climbing equipment, techniques, knots, and other skills before exploring up the rock wall. No prior climbing experience required, open to all Brownies – Ambassadors. For badge requirements, check out Volunteer Toolkit or the Badge Explorer.
This is not a drop off event, all Girl Scouts must attend with a parent, guardian, or troop leader. Girl to adult ratios for events should be met. No tagalongs. All child and adult attendees agree to follow the most current GSCO COVID -19 guidelines in relation to in-person events and have completed a COVID-19 waiver. All participants must have a current Girl Scout membership.
The approach to the climbing site at Red Rock Canyon Open Space Park will require a short hike that may be steep in some areas. Please wear appropriate attire to hike to the climbing site and prepare for all weather conditions.
Financial assistance is available to everyone. Easily apply during registration process, to receive aid toward the event registration fee.

This event series is made possible by a generous grant from The North Face. With a shared purpose of encouraging exploration, Girl Scouts and The North Face understand the importance of providing the next generation of girls, regardless of socioeconomic status, with outdoor adventure experiences. By giving girls the opportunity to experience the outdoors, Girl Scouts and The North Face hope to enhance leadership skills and confidence in young girls, while encouraging them to seek new challenges through outdoor adventure.
