Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite computer game? Do you want to learn more about computer coding and what it’s like to work at Google?

Come join members of Google’s Women@ network for an intro to coding! We will teach you how to build your own maze computer game on Scratch. We will walk through all the basic steps, learn how to control and customize your own maze.

Never heard of Scratch? No problem! No previous coding or Scratch experience required. You will also be able to chat with Google employees on what it is like to work at Google and different types of jobs in computer science.

Girl Scouts will earn requirements for Coding Basics and Digital Game Design badges.

We will provide more details, including the link to the Zoom event in an email the day before the virtual event to the primary caregiver for each girl registered. Each individual participant should be registered so we can track participation. Please do not share the information on how to join with others who have not registered.

Questions? about this event or having trouble completing registration, please contact inquiry@gscolorado.org or 877-404-5708.
