State Park Program: Discover Castlewood Canyon State Park
Spend time outdoors this summer at Castlewood Canyon State Park! This is a drop-in style of program, where Girl Scouts can show up anytime from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. to participate in the program. Groups should plan for about an hour and a half to complete all the activities.
At this program, Castlewood Canyon volunteers will give ”trailside talks” along a hiking path. The program will include information on history, geology, animals, plants, snakes and more found in the Castlewood Canyon State Park area. Plan to pack and dress for hot summer hiking: bring water, sunscreen, bug repellant, hats, snacks and/or lunch.
This is not a drop off event, all Girl Scouts must attend with a parent, guardian, or troop leader. Girl to adult ratios for events should be met. All child and adult attendees agree to follow the most current GSCO COVID -19 guidelines in relation to in-person events and have completed a COVID-19 waiver. All participants must have a current Girl Scout membership.
